Google's House of Cards

I have shifted my allegiance to Firefox. I've always felt that third party browsers use more resources than Internet Explorer, and the web pages view differently in some of them. However, Firefox has won me over. I'm a total fan after I realised what bliss it can bring in the form of Firefox Extensions.

I have this extension called Adblock and an associated extension called Adblock Filterset.G Updater. The updater simply updates the rules for adblock to work properly.

I had no idea how effective it was, until I opened this site I visit regularly at a friend's PC (no doubt running Internet Explorer) and realised it was NSFW at all. I realised that Adblock had accomplished what others have failed to do over the ages. I even don't see the google text ads.

This brings me to the fact that the main source of revenue for Google is the advertising revenues. If Firefox users do start using Adblock (make their surfing experience clean and irritating popup advertisment free) then Google will sadly lose out on all those revenues that seems to keep it buoyant while they go out acquiring everything in sight.
