Mozilla is making money from Firefox 


Mozilla Corporation made $72M last year from the popular Firefox browser. I clearly remember reading about that last year somewhere.

The money comes from the Google Search box on the top right, when you search using that box and you click on Google ads on the results page Firefox gets about 80%.

So yeah, it is possible afterall to make a lot of money from Free Open Source Software, great stuff does pay out in the end.
